Aakhiri Munadi , a 15:00 minute film from India, has been selected for River to River Italy Film Festival. River to River Italy film festival is the only festival where Indian movies are selected for showing in the festival.

Aakhiri Munadi, or Last announcement, is written and directed by an Ex.N.S.D student Ahsan Bakhsh, who is also an actor. Famous TV serial Amber Dhara was also written by him for the Sony TV . Amber Dhara was the story of two sisters, who were born joined.

The film Aakhiri Munadi is produced by a famous Ad Company Graphisads and well known film PR company H.S.Communication.

Aakhiri Munadi has been shot in cities of Uttranchal like Almora and Haldwani. Film tells the story of a messenger Puran Singh who is proud of his voice and his Drum (Nagara). People of the town have faith in the announcement made by Puran Singh and believe that whatever he says is true.

One day he came to know that Chairman of the Municipality, is misusing him and his voice. At the end of his last announcement he reveales the reality of the chairman to the people of the town and after his announcement the chairman leaves the town for ever.

The character of Puran Singh is played by Alok Kumar. Some other characters are played by Suresh sharma, Reeta Devi, D.N.Bhatt, Anil Ghindiyal etc.with camera man Narendra Ghindyal and music by Aslam Kaily.

River to River Italy film festival will be held from 5th to 11th December 2008. It will take place in Florence. 8th River to River, Italy film festival is a tribute to Raj Kappor. The people of Italy and Europe believes that Raj Kapoor is the Charlie Chaplin of 1950s decade.

The Jury of the festival is also from Bollywood feternity, like director Kunal Kohili, Indra Kumar, R.Balki and director of recently hit film Golmaal Returns Rohit Shetty and director of festival Silvazia will be there too.

The USP of the film is that it presents the culture and tradition of Himalayas which really hypnotizes the audience.
