Music Album Purvaiya released
Recently Times Music released the music album Purvaiya of famous singer Malini Awasthi in Mumbai. Famous flute player Hari Prasad Chaurasiya, Hindi film actor Jacky Shroff, CEO of Times Music Adarsh Gupta, producer of reality shows Gajendra Singh and Art and Culture Minister of U.P. Subhash Pandey were present to grace the occasion. All of them alongwith Malini Awasthi released the album jointly.
Speaking on the occasion Hari Prasad Chaurasiya praised the efforts and commitment of Malini Awasthi towards popularising Folk Music and said that Purvaiya will enliven the music-lovers and expressed envy that he should have worked towards that aim too. He said that even in the present day of remix music Malini has kept alive the freshness and appeal of folk music.
Jacky Shroff hoped that Purvaiya will help reestablish folk music amongst the younger genration. Adarsh Gupta said that it is the beginning of his company's decision to work towards promoting folk music. Malini Awasthi requested everyone to give folk-music a hearing and claimed that they will stay with it thereafter. She thanked Gajendra Singh and Times Music for all the encouragement and co-operation.
Purvaiya has eight songs and the music has been composed by Satish Ajay duo. Malini Awasthi represented folk music in the popular reality show Zunoon Kuch Kar Dikhane Ka of NDTV Imagine and was the judge in the popular Bhojpuri Singing Reality Show Sur-Sangram. The album Purvaiya has been produced by Sai Baba Telefilms and it was represented by Dheeraj Kumar on the occasion.
